This is the process of drying, grinding, and putting the placenta into capsules for the new mother to consume. It is believed to help with postpartum recovery, energy, and milk supply.
Placenta salve can be used to heal C-Section incisions after the wound is closed. It can lessen scarring, itching, and discomfort. It can be used 3 days postpartum for hemorrhoids and perineal tearing. Salves are great for burns, diaper rash, eczema, sunburn, and minor skin irritations. The salve is safe for babies as long as there are no known skin allergies. You'll want to test a small area of the skin before using it in larger amounts. Especially when using a nut-based oil.
This involves steeping a piece of the placenta in high-proof alcohol for a period of time, creating a concentrated liquid extract. The tincture is usually stored for long-term use and is believed to help with hormonal balance, mood, and energy levels. Can be used for PMS and menopause.
This is the process of making a print of the placenta by pressing it onto paper or canvas. Can be done with it's natural blood or with food grade coloring for added colors, vibrancy, and design. The print can be framed or used as a memory of the birth.
